New life-style magazine, Ocean Road,  has officially been launched with it’s online debut on Monday 21st June and it’s hard-copy publications to be launched within the next two weeks & avail for sale in various news agents across SE QLD.

Indigo Joker’s Creative Director, Kathryn Edmonds was approached  to be an official contributor to the magazine’s ‘fashion section’ & report back on local upcoming events, styling tips & trends as well as many other great new projects involving the GC fashion scene.

On March 27th – Sanctuary Cove hosted their first: “Candles, Cuisine & Couture” event which was a huge success. Over 360 people adorned the 120 metre long table positioned down Mastehead way to watch some of Gold Coast’s newest fashion labels show-case various peices from their new season’s collections.

Two gorgeous models were snapped backstage wearing ‘Indigo Joker’ before the parade kicked off.

Style magazine could resist the opportunity to do a little write up on the “Next Big Thing in Fashion” comp at Sanctuary Cove and again featured Indigo Joker along with some of the other fashion finalists on the night!

Sanctuary Cove hosted a launch night to officially announce the 6 finalists in the “Next Big Thing in Fashion” competition on Tuesday night.

Happy snapped in front of her hanging space is Kathryn, showing off some of the available Indigo Joker stock that is for sale as well as enjoying some bubbly with her husband James. Kathryn is also wearing a BRAND NEW PIECE  (silver crop jacket) from her yet to be released SS10/11 collection which will be in stores later on this year

It’s that time, currently, majority of Australian Fashion labels (including us here at IJ) are frantically working on their Spring/Summer 2010/11 collections & preparing them for ‘showings’ however, in amongst all this madness, the team at Sanctuary Cove have announced that the search is on for the “Next Big Thing in Fashion”.  A competition designed to provide a platform for emerging designers with the opportunity to promote their labels to the shopping public and grab industry attention.

IndigoJoker has been chosen as one of Six (6) Finalists by a panel of judges to promote and sell their designers in a “GROUP SPACE” at Sanctuary Cove Marine Village for 3 weeks from the 9th to the 27th March.   The winning label will have sole use of the shop space for the month of April.

Brisbane fashion lovers recently gathered to witness the launch of the new concept store in Fortitude Valley ‘Drobe’ where many of IndigoJoker’s garments are currently being stocked and were also featured in a fashion parade on the evening. Snapped in ‘Style’ magazine is our label Designer and Owner, Kathryn Edmonds enjoying the chance to witness such an exciting and fun event!

IndigoJoker features on the front page of the “Goss & Glam” section for the Nation wide publication of MX magazine which  is a free newspaper available to commuters in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Head Designer & label owner, Kathryn Edmonds was asked to share her hot tips on this summers fashion trends and where she gains inspiration from for her bold and edgy designs.

Tuesday 15th December

On the 7th October 2009, IndigoJoker took part in a high end fashion runway event that show-cased designs from some of Australia’s top fashion labels such as Lisa Ho, Nicola Finetti & Romance was Born + many more. Only a small handful of new/up and coming labels were personally chosen to provide a garment to show-case on the runway alongside some of the best.

Set in the chic surrounding of the Living Edge Showroom, South Australia, Designers were asked to create a BLACK garment in the theme of Noir to be showcased at what proved to be a fashion spectacular. From lingerie and swimwear to avant-garde pieces, the show was a stand-out within the Australian Fashion scene!
